How to change your profile name by creating a new one

This was the response I received from Yuku in regards to my request to remove the extension (in my case .thecanvasmessageboard) from my user name/profile. I hope this thread helps. It is really easy and defaulted to my new profile once I created it. You can use the same profile name as before.
*I will note that you do start over in post counts*

1. close any other browser tabs...

Hello! Been lurking for a while...I've even posted here and there....
But thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Angel--I've been a fan of GH since 1980! And I'll tell ya, a lot has changed.
My fave pairing is Liason...I want to remain hopeful that one day I'll actually enjoy watching GH rather than cringe through it just to keep up with what's going on.
