Jill (Ruby Red 3) is adding posticons to certain topics that need to stand out. So if it says edited, that's why; not for any other reason. They're only being used for FNF, Live Chats, Book threads, and Challenges.

Jill and I were talking about custom wording under names. For example, you can look to the left at mine to see what I have. If you have a nickname, a little slogan, or even just your own name, that you would like to appear under your screen name, please, leave your preference here in this thread. Jill or I will see that it's put up for you.

Oh and Jill reminded me--thank you Jill!!--also pick a color if you like one in particular.
