I read this and then reread it-it was dark to say the least but sorta not in a totally bad way. I've almost given up on this soap and not even Elizabeth is pulling me back and it makes me sad because she was the one character I really liked on GH.

I like her dark side and fully agree Jason needs his ass kicked and Sonny well he has always been useless as far as I'm concerned. Alexis is a mostly self-righteous character except when she is with Diane then she is kinda funny....

Oh just wanted to add.....this story is about love.....it may be misguided and we may do horrible things.......but sometimes when our excuse is love its easier to sleep at night......

I liked this very much. I like all the dark and twisty stuff, especially as Jason befriending Sam on the show irks me to no end. Mostly I like the idea of Elizabeth dark, yet still strong. Mostly because I've never seen Elizabeth as weak, myself, so it's satisfying to know that others see her as the true strong one too.

Holy COW Rain....what an intense story. And you are right...no happy ending but in all reality...had Jason just sat there and let her take the fall for a murder he knew she didn't commit?...she should have put the screws to him BIG TIME because...that's unforgivable.

Of course, the true character of Jason, I don't think, would ever be able to do that to her. NOT HER.

You, as always, have produced an extremely well written piece.

....wow...well, that was dark to say the least, but incredibly intriguing! Now, I can't say I could read a piece like this every day, but once in a while, it's nice to stir the pot and see what else a writer can come up with other than fluff and romance, LOL! I think
Elizabeth could have very easily gone down a path similar to the one you wrote for her Rain, had she not befriended Jason all those years ago and reconnected with him despite the whole Ric/Courtney fiasco....
