"Can't see me saying no to what?" Jason said peeking his head into the room. Elizabeth and Emily looked around startled at the sound of his voice. "What makes you think we were talking about you?" Elizabeth asked smirking at him.

"I don't know, I just assumed" he said not really sure what to say in front of Emily. Em noticed his uncomfortable tone, and decided to do something about it. "Why are you just standing there like that?" she asked pointing out that only his head was in the room.

"Um...because I was just walking by" he said trying not to stare at Elizabeth.

"Well, why don't you come on in." he did as she asked and Elizabeth was glad to see that he put a shirt on. Too bad for her it was so tight fitting, she could see every rippling muscle on his body.

"So, what are you guys up to?" he asked.

"Just talking" Elizabeth said looking at the floor.

"About you" Emily finished for her. She saw the change in his face, and could almost hear him thinking.

"What about me?" he asked looking back and forward between them. Elizabeth chewed on her bottom lip and waited for Emily to continue. " About you... and Elizabeth" she said with a knowing look on her face.

"You...uh...you" he said stumbling trying to find the right words.

"She knows" Elizabeth said finally looking up at him. "She asked and I had to tell her. But that's a good thing because it's one less person we have to hide it from."

"I'll leave you two alone" Emily said getting up off of her bed and exiting the room.

"You're not mad are you?" Elizabeth asked sitting up on the bed.

"No, of course not." He said walking closer to her. " Come here." he said reaching out his hand waiting for her to take it. She slipped her hand in his and got up. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see" he said and led her out of the room. She had no idea what he was thinking as he took her out of the house and onto the grounds of the mansion. They walked until they came upon the most beautiful garden she had ever seen.

"Wow" was all she could say.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" he asked looking down at her.

"Yeah, it is. But why'd you bring me down here." she asked

"Because I was looking at you, and thought that you should be surrounded by something as beautiful as you are." he said making her blush. "Come on" he said and they walked over to a bench. " So what did you tell Emily?"

"That we were going to start seeing each other, and then we started talking about Homecoming"

"The dance?" he asked raising one of his eyebrows.

"Yes" was all she said.

"Who are you going with?" he asked looking away from her.

"I don't know. I was thinking about asking you." she said with hope in her voice.

"Elizabeth" he sighed. "I would love to, but I'm not sure that's going to work"

"Why not?" she asked disappointed.

"Because it wouldn't be a secret anymore. If I go with you everyone will see us together" he said trying to make her see it his way.

"I guess you're right" she knew he was right but she didn't want to go with anyone else.

"I'm sure that someone else will ask you." his words caused her to look up at him confused." You want me to go with someone else?"

"No, I just want you to go. But I want you to have a good time, and just because you agree to go with someone else doesn't mean that you have to date him."

"I don't want to go with anyone else."

"Well how about this. Why don't you go and hang out for a little while with your friends, and leave early. I'll come pick you up and take you somewhere special, and still have you home in time for your curfew." he said caressing her cheek. "How does that sound?"

"It sounds good. Where are we going to meet?"

"It can't be at the school..."

"How about the park?"

"I don't want you to be alone when it's dark. It's too dangerous." he pointed out.

"Don't worry. I'll figure something out" she reassured him. "So let's talk about something more important."

"Like what?" he questioned.

"Like where are you going to take me after the dance."

"I think you're just going to have to be more patient." he said leaning into her and placing a tender kiss on her lips.
