Chapter 13

Skye sat with Elizabeth and talked quietly with her as Lorenzo and Jason went over the sites of all of his safe houses and other properties in and around Port Charles. Agreeing that they could send a man from each organization together to each of the houses. Jason called Sonny to get a group of men sent over to the house and Lorenzo called several of his men so they could get them started. Deciding that each pair would take four properties, they divided the list of addresses and then matched the men who would be working together.

Lorenzo walked over to Elizabeth when this was done and told her, "If there is anything else that you can think of that I or my men can do to help, please let us know. In this business children should never be involved."

Nodding her head she said, "Thank you, I know that you're of the same mind set as Sonny and Jason and I wish I could say the same for the other families you encounter. I just don't understand why he would take my Cam."

Thinking about that Lorenzo frowned and said, "Jason how close are you to the boy?"

"I've met him once," Jason admitted, not understanding the question.

Rubbing his chin Lorenzo had to ask, "Then why take the boy instead of his mother who you're obviously close too? Why include a child in this game instead of Elizabeth?"

"Maybe he thought Cam would be easier to handle," Skye suggested.

"You'd think that anyone would know that a child of that age would be harder than an adult. You have to be careful with them and keep an eye on them. You can't just tie them up and leave them in a room somewhere, no children are more trouble, they make more noise and people are more apt to remember them then they are another adult. There is something else going on here and I think you'd be smart to figure out what that is," Lorenzo suggested.

Jason stared at him and hated to admit that he was right, there was something else here, something he'd missed in all the emotion. Turning away from them all Jason paced the room as he thought about it. He had to wonder, what was the mystery behind that, what did Manny have planned? Pinching the bridge of his nose he thought about everything he knew about Cam and then turned to Elizabeth, needing some answers.

"Is there anything about Cam that I don't know?" he asked her.

Shaking her head she said, "No, I mean you know that Zander is his father, I had to get a paternity test to prove that, and that I delivered him in California, but no other than that there isn't anything else."

"Why did you need the paternity test?" Skye asked, not having been a part of this world at that time.

Flushing a little and looking down at the floor Elizabeth admitted, "I slept with Zander when I was drunk at Jake's one night, I don't actually remember it. Then a few days later I slept with Ric I guess. I umm had to get the paternity test so that I could determine which of them was the father."

"What do you mean you guess? Don't you know that you slept with Ric? And how drunk were you that you can't remember sleeping with Zander Smith?" Skye questioned.

"I don't know, I mean I woke up the next morning in a room above Jake's, Jason's old room and I was naked on the bed and Zander was standing there staring at me. He said he had to go, he'd call me sometime and thanks for last night. With Ric, well with him I have no idea what happened, I just know that I wasn't in any shape the next morning to remember anything," Elizabeth said in embarrassment.

Lorenzo listened to this and then looked over at Jason, wondering if he'd caught the inconsistencies in her story. Sleeping with two men but remembering neither of them, that didn't make any logical sense to him. Shaking his head he thought he'd have to let it lie for now but he had some checking to do. He knew Ric Lansing, he'd worked with the man and he had no doubt he'd pull something dirty and underhanded to have gotten back with his then estranged wife.

Standing in the shadow of the stairwell Manny heard Lucky and Sam coming down the stairs before he ever saw them. Planning on going out the back and getting into position to grab them he paused when he heard their voices.

"Are you sure that your wife isn't going to show up and catch us Lucky?" Sam asked, secretly hoping that just such a thing would happen.

"I'm sure Sam, Elizabeth would never be able to go back into the place she let Cam get kidnapped from. We can go there, get cleaned up and then spend a few more hours continuing to get to uh know each other," he smirked with a leer at her that he thought was cute.

Sam giggled like a little girl to keep him thinking he had her hooked and took his hand, pulling him through Kelly's for everyone to see. Elizabeth Webber had ruined her plans with Jason last night and seemed to think that he was at her beck and call. Well she'd show her what happened when you mess with Sam McCall. Manny stayed where he was and watched them, angry on Elizabeth's behalf that that idiot Lucky was about to dishonor their marital bed. Oh he'd enjoy getting vengeance for his princess and then he'd go back to making her and Jason frantic as they searched for the little boy he was keeping safe and sound.

Lucky got Sam back to his place as fast as he could, happy that Cruz had called to let him know they'd released the apartment and he could go home. He didn't like taking her to Kelly's last night, what if Maxie had seen them? She'd have been furious and then she would have stopped getting him his drugs. Silently laughing to himself he thought about what Elizabeth would think if she knew about Maxie or Sam. Well she deserved it, first she starts sleeping with Patrick Drake and then what she did at the station earlier, choosing Jason Morgan over him was inexcusable. If anyone was going to find Cam it would be him, not that criminal.

Pulling the willing brunette up the stairs behind him Lucky had a momentary thought that he really didn't want Elizabeth to know he was cheating on her. She was much better in bed then Maxie and while he'd thought Sam would be a great lay she was pretty boring. He didn't want to lose out on what he had with his little nurse. Throwing the door open he pulled Sam through, tossing her on the couch and following her down, laughing and biting at her neck.

Going along with all of this, thinking at least the sex wasn't too bad, but it was certainly nowhere near as good as Jason, Sam pushed the cop off of her and rolled off of the couch, croocking her finger and beckoning him to follow her. When Lucky was on his feet she grinned and said, "How about we go hop in that shower, you can wash my back and I'll wash your…" she trailed off raising a suggestive eyebrow. Lucky laughed and followed her in.

In no time at all you could hear the roaring of the water and the loud moaning and groaning coming from the kitchen. Manny let himself into the apartment, not bothering to be quiet this time like he was last night when he came to fetch little Cameron Webber. Closing the door and locking it he smiled to himself when he heard where the pair was. This was going to be easy; they'd made it so much simpler by being together for him too. Making his way into the bathroom he stood just inside the door watching the display going on through the clear shower curtain. Waiting until someone saw him he just enjoyed the show, knowing Sam was as much of a slut as he'd always thought she was.

Throwing her head back while Lucky continued to suck on it Sam moaned and turned it to the side, trying to let him know she wanted his mouth somewhere else. Her eyes came open and she screamed, seeing Manny Ruiz standing there with a grin watching them. Pushing frantically on Lucky's shoulders she kept screaming and trying to scramble away but slipping on the floor of the tub.

Throwing back his head and laughing Manny stepped towards them pulling out his knife and leering at Sam.
