Chapter 20

Johnny and Marco was standing in front of Sonny door talking about last night. When they herd the elevator ding and open. Max and Francis walked off.

"Hey, how did the date go last night ?" Francis asked

"Well when they got off the elevator they looked very happy. I had everything ready the way Jason wanted"

"Good, O'Brien we want to make sure they both stay happy."

"So is Elizabeth working today ?"

"Yeah, You will be guarding her tomorrow Johnny?"

"Yes, I 'll be at the warehouse with Jason today?"

"Max you on the boss or Brenda?"

"I am on the boss, Paulie is guarding Brenda"

Marco spoke up, "Will you text us if something comes up with Jason and Ms. Webber?"

"I'll try, if not lets meet here when shift changes"

"Alright" They all agreed.

~Jason Penthouse ~

Elizabeth woke up smiling and thinking about last night. She turned over and reached for Jason realizing that he wasn't in bed. Maybe he regretted it she thought. As she sat up she looked around and notice the door opening. She smiled at what she saw. Jason was carrying a tray to the bed.

"Good morning I thought I would make us breakfast before we both had to go to work."

"Good morning and that would be great, I didn't know that you could cook."

"Well Sonny taught me some things and so did Robin"

"Well the only thing I can cook is good brownies"

"Well at least we will have breakfast and desert covered"

"Yeah we would"

They ate breakfast in a comfortable silence. He put everything on one plate so they could share and it was all good including the Hot Chocolate just the way she liked it. After they got done with breakfast they went to get ready for work and decide to take a shower together to save water and time, they both came out with smiles on their faces.

"I have to get going I will see you later?"

"Yes, I will meet you back here after I get done at the warehouse, make sure Francis stays close."

"bye"

She opens the door to leave and Jason grabs her arm gentle and turns her around.

"I don't get a goodbye kiss?"

"Well I though I gave you one before I put by jacket on"

"Well I need one more to last me"

He pulled her closer and his mouth came crashing on her, they didn't realize the audience that was watching from the hall way. Brenda, Sonny, Max, Paulie, Francis all stood their shocked the way Jason was acting. When they need air he gentle pulled away and then kissed her forehead.

"I'll see you later"

Elizabeth walked out and passed Francis with the biggest smile on her face. Jason watch her leave not noticing Sonny was waiting for him. Sonny clearing his throat. He finally came out of the fog he was in. "Sorry what did you say Sonny"

"I'll meet you down at warehouse for our meeting."

"Yeah I will be their in few"

Sonny just chuckled, he really does have it bad he though to himself.

~Quatermaine Mansion~

AJ and Carly where getting ready for tomorrow and they where getting married out in the garden. So the house was hopping with wedding planner and caterers. As everyone was gather for breakfast Lila was talking with Monica.

"Monica was Michael having a hard time going to sleep last night?"

"Yes since he's been back from Florida he been crying every night. I am not sure if he miss Jason or the routine that Jason did." As she was saying this Carly and AJ came in.

"Well I am doing everything that Jason did when I lived with him, so I don't think its that, I think he just misses his daddy."

"Well the last time I looked Carly I was his daddy."

"Well you only been his father for what a month"

"Ok we all know where this is going and I for one don't want to hear it. We have enough to do with this wedding."

"Sorry mother"

"It's ok, I just feel bad that he gets so upset. What if we asked Jason to come over and show us how he puts Michael to bed maybe that will help him?"

"I don't think that would be a good idea. He will get use to us."

"I just thought for Michael sake AJ."

"I know mom"

"So what is the plan today Carly"

"Well I am getting my nails done and last fitting for my dress."

"Alright then I am going to work, Leticia will be here for Michael ?"

"Yes, I will be back by dinner"

"Alright he head out to see Leticia to see if she would meet with Michael at Kelly's to have lunch."

~ Kelly's ~

Elizabeth was humming along while she got the dinner ready for breakfast. As she was done with the last item she went over and filled Francis coffee and gave him his breakfast. He just knew their was no sense in arguing with her. As he watched her smiling and humming he herd the bell over the door he looked over a saw Mrs. Hardy walk in. He watch Elizabeth face go from happy, sad and then a mask of no emotion. He thought only Jason was able to do that.

"Elizabeth Webber what are you doing?"

"Hello Grams, I work here"

"I mean in Port Charles?"

"Well my boyfriend asked me to come back with him, so here I am"

"You mean that thug"

"Grams he is not a thug, he is very nice man"

"He works for the mob!"

"Alleged mob, Grams and the last time I looked he was coffee importer"

"What has happen to you Lizzie"

"Well first its Elizabeth, I don't know maybe being on my own for four years working full time and going to school. How would you be if your parents left you with practically nothing? I been alone until I met Jason. He is the first person to care for me and show me kindness and friendship."

"Your so naive little girl, he is taking advantage of you !!"

"You know nothing about me or my life you choose not to when I sent letters to you all those years ago you never once answer them."

"I never received letters from you so how can I answer them back?"

"Well you should check with Sara I am sure she had something to do with that."

"Then maybe you should come live with me so I can help you"

"No Grams, I asked for your help all those years go and all I got where no answer to the letters that I sent. I learned then not to ask family for help. The only person I will ask for help are the people I trust and that is not you. So far that is Jason, Johnny and Francis because that is who I trust."

"What happens when he doesn't want you. Because we all know you will be too much to handle Lizzie."

"Grams think what you want, you only know about me through my parents and Sara who I haven't had any contact since my fifteen birthday when they walked out and left me. If Jason ever left it wouldn't be the end of the world because I lived through worse. Have a nice day"

Elizabeth went into the kitchen so she could get herself together she knew she was trying to hold the tears back. It was true she did live through worse. But if Jason left her she didn't think she would handle it well, because she realized she was falling for him fast and hard.

Francis was sitting at the counter watching and listening to everything that was said. How could someone be so cruel. He went into the kitchen to make sure she was alright. He walked all the way in the back of the kitchen.

"Elizabeth"

She turned around to see who was calling her trying to wipe her eyes.

"Are you ok"?

"Yeah I am. I am just trying to get it together before the next customer comes in. Do you think Jason would ever leave me? I know we just got together. But I never got this close to someone and I just don't want to loose him. I don't know what I am thinking."

"Elizabeth breath, talk to Jason tonight and tell him how you feel"

"I am sorry I rambled again, your right I will talk to Jason we did make a deal"

As they head out of the kitchen she turned around and gave him a hug.

"Thank you for being a friend"

"Your welcome, I am always here for you no matter what."

She turned to walk into the dinning area and there is Robin standing their, shit this is just not my day she thought.

Francis was right behind her and groan does this girl ever get a break.

Elizabeth walked over to Robin.

"What can I get you?"

"Does Jason know your fraternizing with the help!"

"Francis is my friend and Jason knows that."

"Your not supposed to be friends with the help"

"Well I don't look at them as help, so what do you want?"

"I will have scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and OJ"

"Coming right up"

Elizabeth placed the order, returned with her drink then walked over and gave Francis a refill on his coffee. Walking back to put the coffee pot back.

"I guess Jason never gave you rules, your not supposed to feed or give them drinks while they are working"

"Look Robin why don't you mind your own business. Then maybe we will get along."

Elizabeth herd the cook yell order up and went to get Robin's order.

"Here you go and don't choke on it."

Robin just gasp.

Francis chuckled as his phone ran

"Corelli"

"Hey, how she doing this morning?"

Francis moves out of ear shot of anyone so they couldn't hear his conversation.

"Well it hasn't been easy, her Grandmother came in and now the ex."

"Shit, I was going to come in for coffee"

"Well I think that would make her day, we should talk later about somethings that I think you should know."

"Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, just come by for coffee"

"Great see you soon, don't tell her I am coming"

"No problem"

Francis hung up the phone and though he had it bad, he hope Jason doesn't get mad at the advise was going to give him.

As Elizabeth was wiping off the counter she was thinking about all that was said between her and her Grams. She thought about the letters that she sent to her how they where never answered, she remember the one after her rape she was hoping that her Grams would offer her to come and stay with her. She was heart broken by it. She wrote a total of ten and not one ever answered. Even if her Gram didn't know about the letters she knew the Elizabeth was left on her own. As she finished with all the cleaning the bell over the door rang and she looked up a smile had bloomed in her face.
