Elizabeth couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Jason inside the limo. She had just gotten off of the phone with him and he told her that he wouldn't see her until nine o'clock. She couldn't help but wonder what he was doing there. She slipped into the car and Emily followed her. "Jason, what are you doing here?" she asked giving him a hug.

"I wanted to see you" he answered while they were still in their embrace. They slowly let go of each other and Elizabeth said, "I thought that you were coming to pick me up at nine. You are still coming aren't you?" she asked with a little uncertainty in her voice. She was terrified that he had changed his mind or something had come up.

"Of course I am" he said reassuring her. "I promised you, and I don't make promises that I don't keep. Nothing was going to keep me away form you tonight." he said flashing her his incredible smile.

"Good" she said relieved. The last the she wanted was for something to get in the way of them spending time together. It was bad enough that he couldn't come to the dance with her, but to miss out on any time together would break her heart.

Emily had just been smiling at them the whole time. It made her happy to see the two of them together. She had never seen her brother like this and it was really a sight to behold. "I thought that it would make you guys happy to be able to see one another before the dance. I thought that it would help to ease some of the tension" she said to Elizabeth.

"Em, you're the best." she said reaching over and giving her a hug. "But what are you going to do when I leave?" she asked curiously. She didn't want to leave her alone for the rest of the night.

"Don't worry about me. Nickolas is meeting me there, and we are going to dance the night away." She said doing a little shimmy making Jason and Elizabeth laugh. "I'm going to be fine. Trust me" she said laughing.

"I'm sure you will" Elizabeth said still laughing at her, and then turned her attention back to Jason. " Hey, how about we go ahead and leave now?" she said. "I mean you're already here. Why can't we just drop Em off and leave?"

"Because you need to show your pretty face so that there's no question that you were there." he said noticing her disappointment at his response. "That and I'm not ready yet." he said pointing out his jeans, and t-shirt.

"What's wrong with what you have on?" she asked. "That's what you always wear. You're like a cartoon." she said giggling at him. "A cartoon!?" he asked shocked by what she said.

"An extremely attractive cartoon." she said smiling at him. "I wouldn't change you for anything." she said leaning forward and giving him a soft kiss.

"Well speaking of clothing, you look beautiful." he said making her blush. "Well I'm glad that you like it. I hope that it's appropriate for where we're going." she told him.

"It's perfect. No one's going to be able to keep their eyes off of you." he said. He really thought that she was beautiful, and was glad that she was his and no one else's. "Just be outside at nine, alright?"

"Okay, I'll be there, but how am I going to get home?" she asked relaxing that they hadn't discussed it yet.

"The dance is over at midnight, and I'm going to have you back in time so that you can leave with Emily." he explained.

"But that only gives us three hours together" she said disappointed. Three hours just didn't seem like enough.

"It has to be. Your grandmother is going to be expecting you" he tried to reason with her. "I know. It's better than nothing right?" she said trying to convince herself.

The limo came to a stop and Emily said "We're here.". The driver got out and opened their door again. Emily got out and Elizabeth hugged and kissed Jason goodbye. "I'll see you later okay?" he said. She nodded her head in response. "Don't come out a second before. It's dangerous around here at night."

"Don't worry. I know" she said before getting out and walking inside with Emily.
