Oh, I didn't wait. I went to the Johnny/Nadine site. I had to see if he'd come home to her...
And you suck. But you did give me one of the best Claudia/Nadine moments that I feel you've written so far, and I just adore the way you write Claudia. She literally leaps off the screen. I can hear every word that comes out of her mouth as being gospel truth...like when she said to Jason, "True story." I busted out laughing. And the shoe. Was there ever a more perfect moment than when Claudie whaled horsebeast with her heel? I think not. I just loved how Claudia was like, you soooo came to see me cuz you miss me. I love the dynamic between the two. I also think it's adorable that everyone is assuming that Johnny is in love with Nadine b/c of the gifts again. I have to admit, I'd rather he was there than the gifts, but I'm willing to be patient. I'm assuming you're having a whole absence-makes-the-heart-grow-fonder thing going on...where Johnny gets some perspective and distance from his "relationship" with the horsebeast and when he returns he'll be ready to fully give himself to Nadine without guilt, hesitation or a sense of jerking her around. I also love the way Jason is in this story. He barely speaks, and when he does, they're all monosyllable words. Even in the last chapter with Nadine and Elizabeth going on and on with each other, he sat there at the pool table feeding his baby and keeping his trap shut. Awesome. Is Johnny coming home soon? I don't know if I can take much more of a wait for ANOTHER couple that isn't sharing "screen" time... Excellently done, little bird.

I just thought it was soooooo funny that Jason did the same thing to Liz that Johnny did to Nadine - disappearing abruptly after a dangerous, possibly
relationship-defining moment with the promise that he'd keep her safe - and damn it, Elizabeth was going to MAKE him fess up that the dude always wusses
out and comes home to his girl.
