Elizabeth should have known better than to trust Edward Quartermaine, but, at this point, I guess she was just about desperate enough to jump at any chance to get away from Port Charles. Unfortunately, though, she'll never be free of the town thanks to her not-so-selfless benefactor, especially since the aging coot has now drug AJ into the plot. AJ and Edward can call what they're doing whatever they want, but, for Edward, it's simply an opportunity to get a new heir for his family business, and, for AJ, he's just seeking revenge against Jason. And because Elizabeth went to the Quartermaines, it'll take Jason, I think, a while to forgive her, even more so than the fact that she kept his child from him, that is, if he finds out.

It's always annoyed me how Jason just plays along to suit everyone else's whims. He pretends he wants to get married to pacify Courtney, to distract Carly, to keep the status quo with Sonny. No wonder he's miserable; no wonder he's attempting to lose himself in his work, but nothing is going to distract him from his thoughts as long he continues to do what others want him to instead of going out and doing what's best for Jason. There was a time when he lived for no one but himself, and, even though I don't want him to regress back to that mindset completely, he does need to learn how to balance between being selfish and being selfless. At this point, he's living the life of the latter, and, in the end, it's just going to destroy everyone.

I shouldn't enjoy the fact that Elizabeth is walking away from Jason without a second glance back, and I shouldn't be encouraging her to run far, far away with his child and not inform him of his impending fatherhood, but I am. After how he's treated her, he doesn't deserve, right now, to be her friend, and, because of the way he's acting where he's living for everyone else but himself, he's not ready to be a father to their child. Jason needs to get his own life together, needs to reorganize his priorities before Elizabeth gives him the time of day. Unfortunately, who know how long this will take or if it'll even happen in this order. Since chaos means drama, it wouldn't surprise me at all if everything happens backwards, meaning Jason finds out about the baby long before he starts to fix his life. Anyway, I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
