Well obviously it is my opinion but it is what they are showing onscreen too. They have had Jason say over and over and over that Lucky is the best father for Jake; that he trusts him; that his life is no place for a kid; that raising Michael in the life was a mistake; that it was his biggest mistake; and on and on and on. Now  something happens to Liz and I am supposed to believe that he will suddenly think the best thing for Jake would be to also rip him away from the only father he has known and his brother?

Yvonne, I have to agree. They didn't have Jason batting an eye when Liz was in Shadybrooke. He didn't even seem to be overly concerned about Liz's welfare, much less Jake's.

But Jason doesn't want Jake living at Wyndemere (if that spoiler can be believed). If Lucky causes harm or walks away, what if Nik agrees to taking all 3 kids? Steven is a big Nik cheerleader, Nik has the $ and staff necessary, blah blah. Or- Lucky is only a cop, dangerous job, not like Luke & Laura are a big help to him family-wise. Audrey is older now, can't care for 3 little ones. Steven is COS, busy job. Jason might help Lucky keep custody away from Nik? Just a thought.
Molly, I don't recall that being a spoiler, but rather a comment that SB made off the cuff at a PA - he was just joking about kicking Nik's butt before allowing Jake to live there.
