Kissaby there was a casting calling for a recurring character/short term for a childrens rights attorney and they were looking for a 'name'; that is what this sounds like to me because they were looking for someone in the 40ish age range which she also fits but even if Liz was presumed dead, why would they need a children's rights attorney?

Can be b/c of Cam...............Lucky never adopted him  and Liz/Lucky are not married so who cans speak for Cam??? children's rights attorney

crap your right ... i bet for cam.. i think jason will get jake
There is no way Jason would get Jake and no indication that he would even try. Why would he. He thinks Lucky is the bestest father ever and Michael has further convinced him he should never have a kid. He is not the father of record Lucky is and Jason would actually have to go to court to establish paternity, thus advertising to the world that he was Jakes father....now I could see that with Cameron but so far they are not setting up an Elizabeth death story in any fashion that I can see.

Your opinion.

Well obviously it is my opinion but it is what they are showing onscreen too. They have had Jason say over and over and over that Lucky is the best father for Jake; that he trusts him; that his life is no place for a kid; that raising Michael in the life was a mistake; that it was his biggest mistake; and on and on and on. Now  something happens to Liz and I am supposed to believe that he will suddenly think the best thing for Jake would be to also rip him away from the only father he has known and his brother?

   That's 1 interpretation

Why would Jake be ripped away from Cam?
