Previews for the week of 28-Jun-2010

by Carol Banks Weber

  • Olivia rips into Johnny and Kristina, ascertaining their doomed ruse and drawing a line in the sand.
  • Olivia asks that Johnny consider whether he really wants to dispense of Sonny using a mere child (Kristina) more than he wants their relationship back. That does it.
  • Olivia goes back to Sonny to report that Johnny and Kristina are only faking their coupledom, to get his goat.
  • Kristina confides in Molly about doing even worse with Johnny.
  • Johnny puts together the words he’ll need to finally get through to Kristina that their boyfriend-girlfriend charade can’t go on any longer.
  • Johnny twists the knife when he and Sonny have a war of words at Sonny’s Italian restaurant. Johnny incites Sonny with some pretty provocative big talk about Kristina (all false).
  • Sonny uses Luke as a confidant. They reminisce about this same thing (clink-boom) happening to Lily.
  • Luke tries to discourage Sonny from slaughtering Johnny in this fashion. You think the mobster listens?
  • When Luke finds out that Ethan’s going to be all over the impending crime scene, plotting with Johnny, he steps up.
  • Luke tries to discourage his son Ethan from cavorting with the dangerous Johnny by suggesting they go abroad. At first, it doesn’t work. Maybe Lucky can get through to Ethan? Then Luke comes up with a cockamamie story that gets Ethan to stay put.
  • Dante and Michael reminisce about their separate lives and the role law and order played in them.
  • Sonny has his goons (Max and Milo) install a bomb to go off in Johnny’s car at the right moment. During the moment of the car bomb explosion—on Friday—Sonny means to be having dinner publicly with Alexis and her daughters.
  • At dinner, Sonny and Alexis notice Kristina has snuck away to hang out with Johnny. Sonny’s face goes catatonic.
  • Sonny splits to beat Kristina to the car bomb. Too late.
  • Johnny meets up with Kristina near his car (key point) and they talk about moving on and her knocking this off. He manages to help her toward closure with Sonny.
  • Johnny volunteers to take Kristina back to her home in his – Eep! – car.
  • Johnny heads towards his car with Kristina by his side when he senses something off and stops.
  • Sonny runs towards Johnny and Kristina, and the loaded car, when BOOM!
  • The car bomb meant for Johnny goes off, with some shrapnel hitting Krissy.
  • Johnny helps Kristina to the ER to treat her wounds, fuming about the likely culprit.
  • Sonny immediately comes to Michael’s mind in this thwarted car bombing.
  • Jason insists he needs to be armed for this. Nope, says Dante, we’ll do this by the book.
  • Claire ensures that the world sees and knows – in a press conference – that Jason has been freed from prison, keeping up the ruse.
  • Michael and Sonny are worried for Jason if the hitman bolts instead of stays put, completes his mission with the cops, and returns to the slammer.
  • Sonny sees to it that Jason obediently returns to Pentonville once Franco is dealt with.
  • Sam and Spinelli eagerly await their Master’s (Jason’s) return with celebratory hearts.
  • Franco slinks back into town for more mischief, disguised as a vagrant and walking toward the apartment building that once housed Jason.
  • As Maxie goes to the apartments in Harbor View, she thinks she caught a glimpse of Franco as a vagrant.
  • When Maxie gets to Dante, she informs him immediately about the Franco vagrant.
  • Dante’s spidey senses point to a random vagrant as possibly Franco in disguise.
  • Dante runs after the vagrant he thinks is Franco, but it’s some other guy.
  • Spinelli uses his computer skills to pinpoint Franco’s mom.
  • Using Spinelli’s lead, Jason and Dante go to question the mom named Karen. Karen claims childlessness.
  • Maxie delightfully receives a bouquet of roses, but puzzles over the sender (Franco).
  • Maxie goes over her Franco phobia when chatting with Lucky.
  • Franco adds to the rose bouquet, in person, before a shaky Maxie.
  • Maxie faces the fact that she likes Matt, more than she wanted to, and wants him badly.
  • Maxie takes Matt aside to proclaim that she’s all about him.
  • After reconciling, Dante and Lulu make the most of their time alone. Bom Chicka Wah Wah.
  • Luke intends to siphon off Tracy’s funds and go on a wild ride out of the country.
  • Maya walks away from Ethan, unable to commit any of her time to him, because of her terrible history with men.
  • Epiphany and Steve deliver a big health scare on Shirley, when delivering it to Elizabeth.
  • Elizabeth gains a newfound appreciation for Nikolas, because of almost losing Shirley.
  • Patrick allows himself to be with Lisa alone in her place. He gives in to temptation and makes out with her. But then, he gets scared about what he’s doing and stops it.
  • Lisa fans Patrick’s flames by ordering him to leave her place.
  • Steve agrees to shelve the suspension on Patrick, so the brain surgeon can operate on an important patient.
  • Patrick and Lisa together work on Shirley’s brain cancer. Because of his brilliant efforts, Shirley lives to see another day.
  • Patrick and Lisa go to the Metro Court to toss back a few and revel in Patrick’s brilliance.
  • After the drinks and the fawning, Patrick and Lisa bump uglies.
  • Slinking back home to find his wife waiting for him… is the last thing Patrick needs.
  • Robin disembarks from her African flight, ready to be with her family again. She lavishes Patrick with praise for putting up with her, until he’s ready to kill himself with remorse (for what he did with Lisa).
  • Patrick gets Lisa alone in the GH locker room to tell her their screwing cannot ever happen again. They should’ve made sure they were really alone.
  • Luke gets it into his thick skull that maybe if Tracy sees for herself that his bags are packed and ready to go far away, she’ll cave.
  • Luke reacts to a crisis in his clichéd, immature, selfish manner, by stealing a boatload of money from Tracy and running for the hills.
  • Lulu assures Tracy that, despite Luke doing exactly what is expected, he does love her in his own twisted fashion.

  • Next week: Sonny and Michael discourse on the car bomb incident. Michael becomes aware that Sonny’s guilty, but may choose to sit on this to help his dad with Kristina… Sonny avoids Alexis’s wrath by BSing… Jason, Dante and Spinelli pool resources to outwit Franco. The number of roses (66) Maxie received has special significance… Franco moves into the Lockland Mansion and meets with his art dealer Wilhelm to plan the next artful unveiling… Franco tries to get closer to Jax and Josslyn while they’re playing in the park… Franco shows himself alive and well to a horrified Maxie… Carly fronts apathy as Jax tries to turn up the heat with a willing Skye (in his charade of a side romance). Same goes for Carly with her willing game participant… Lucky attempts to shoo Claire away from the fire that is Sonny… Alexis schools Sonny on safe sex should he do it with Claire next… Dante and Lulu sex it up while showering together, their ringing cells forgotten… Maxie snogs on Lucky, incurring Elizabeth’s jealous wrath (“You whore!”)… Lucky strongly communicates to Elizabeth to stop pining away for him; they’re never happening again… Spinelli elects to spring Maxie free from his bonds of unmatrimony… Robin’s loving, apologetic words are like a dagger to the heart for cheater Patrick… Robin tries to entice Patrick into having some afternoon delight in the hospital supply closet, but he is limp with guilt… Sensing no good, Steve reminds Lisa to hands-off Patrick and behave herself on the job.
