Another thing....this scene wasn't even necessary. Not now...right before the wedding. It wasn't even her congratulating him. It was her apologizing for the accident. Kinda odd since he was in the hospital this whole time and except for her telling Matt she felt awkward going to see Jason, they never had her go anywhere near Jason. And she feels awkward checking on him but yet she went out of her way to go see him AT the penthouse? I don't know....it just seems that they could've had this scene at the hospital right after his surgery. And then we have Spinelli obviously nervous that Elizabeth is about to profess her love or something to Jason and spoil the wedding plans. Clearly indicating that there IS something between Liason and he needs to somehow protect 1.5. Very interesting that they inserted this scene right before the wedding.
IMO the reason it was today was partially because for some reason today seemed to be 'apology' day or make amends day on GH. Liz apologized to Jasaon for  hitting him; Jason apologized to her for the men grabbing her; Carly went over and made amends with Sam, Edward did with jason; Sonny apologized to Robin, and to Kate...the episode was even called The Apology. It was kind of bizarre inbetween the wacky hijinks wedding stuff. I actually think Spinelli was more worried about Jason and Liz rather then Sam to be fair. He seemed afraid she might say something to hurt Jasons feelings or upset him and I also think he was afraid she might be hurt. It was kind of sweet but I really didn't take it to be about Sam for some reason and it was to some extent a tease to go to break with the audience wondering what Liz was going to say. I guessed it would be some sort of apology because Liz has been apologizine all over the place for a year so the odds were good. smiley: laugh

Spinelli just had this look of "oh shit" as soon as she said she had something to say and she wanted to do it before the wedding.  Then, he springs up and says "why take the chance of hurt feelings?  Either yours (looking at Liz) or Samantha's".   The whole thing just felt like Spinelli on over-protective mode because he thought she was there to stop the wedding.

Overall, I still think the scene wasn't necessary.  They didn't have her pimping the 1.5 wedding except to say she knew Jason wanted to be with her.  I'm actually kinda shocked she wasn't there to pimp them.  smiley: laugh
