J you read my mind. Next month is going to require thinking outside the box some. I think some surprises are in store and some shocks
I sure hope so... it's a prime opportunity to do it and if he does, he just might be touted as the latest greatest soap writer to pull a fast one on the fans in the age of the internet.  I can see it both ways and being such a sucker for Liason, I will always, always, see it with rose coloured glasses.  Too many wacky hijinks for a pairing that has two very serious people in it. These characters aren't light and fluffy like Maxie and Spin, they're dark and this wedding has so many bad omens that if it does lead to them living happily ever after, that will be a surprise.

Besides, I said before and I'll say again, no one on soaps gets everything they want.  Although TT did remind that the only one that does is Sam but... I just don't see it happening with GW, not the way he's writing other characters.  *shrugs*  Time will tell and it has to be soon because the clock is ticking.
Here's the thing about the rings....at least for ME.   Yeah, it sucks that they gave them rings tied to Q history.  But for me....it doesn't really have a ton of sentimental value when Jason MORGAN has had next to nothing to do with the Q's.  He was an outright prick to Alan many times.  But I guess now because Alan is dead, he cares?  And never mind that 1.5 never had a relationship with the Q's either.  Jason never wanted anything to do with them even during the last time they were together.  So really....how is that special tothem?   It's not.
I feel exactly the same way.  Giving those rings to Jason was more about Edward and Monica wanting a tie to him than the other way around. IMO, anyway.  Perhaps if they'd had some really great bonding scenes prior... maybe.
