NBC Today just showed a segment on Dirty Soap with KellyR and MarkC and also KeMo saying she's not willing to let soaps go down w/o a fight. It's unfortunate that Becky isn't given more opportunities given that her re-hiring is unprecedented and shows she has a powerful fan base. GH may only 1 or 2 more years left and she's the family breadwinner. I hope she has a plan.
I hope it puts your mind at ease to know that Becky isn't the family breadwinner. Both she and Michael are breadwinners and both of them have done well for their family.

Michael might not be acting, but he has been earning very good money all along. When he got fired from GH, he and SBu went into business together, quite successfully from what I've been told. Among his other moneymakers, MS is still selling Monavie, and he is in the next to top tier of their sales force. (He's in the $750,000 to $1 million category. You can check it out on Monavie on the Move, which lists the tiers and the names of those in each sales tier. They quit giving the dollar figures each tier represents, but the top tier is over $1 million and it goes down by notches from there.) He has also been setting up a Groupon-type company, which is probably functional and earning money by now. That's why he was spending time with the band on one of their excursions. He has his fingers in a bunch of other moneymaking pies too. He and Becky have made good, solid investments. Becky also has a trust fund. Under CA law, all of a working child's income has to go into a trust fund. She was quite successful as a child actor in commercials.

What people might not realize about MS is that he's a sharp cookie and a shrewd businessman. He's definitely not Mr. Mom.

Becky and he will be fine when GH is over. Frons probably did them a favor when he fired her, because they got to work and solidified their financial base even more than it had been before. They don't live lavishly, don't go on expensive vacations or live a flashy splashy lifestyle. They dress their kids out of mall clothing stores, no designer stuff for any of them. Becky has said she buys her clothes from her GH wardrobe, where she gets bargain prices, and she and her mother make her gowns for appearances. When she and MS got ready to furnish their home, they both liked a certain designer who has a magazine. They studied her concepts and they bought things that followed her design ideas on their budget. Their idea of a nice family night out is ChuckECheese, and Becky uses coupons there. She's a big coupon-clipper.

They'll be fine. Not worried about the Saucedos.
