You know, I really felt bad for GV. As an adult Lucky, there were so many places the regime could have gone with him; instead, they just made the character pathetic. I also think GV is a way better actor than the material they gave him. I think he tended to overcompensate because he didn't know what else to do with it, because it wasn't something he could really sink his teeth into.

I very much enjoyed GV's Lucky and Liz as friends. And GV played the father role very, very well. I really enjoyed the scenes GV had with the boys who played Cake. Way more than JJ. God knows I love JJ as an actor, but he really had no chemistry with the two little actors who were Cake; GV definitely did.

Franco--worst character ever! However, I do like James Franco as an actor. As a person he seems a little strange, but that doesn't mean the guy can't act. And the character of Franco was supposed to have been demented, weird, sociopathic and all those other superlatives. And JF played those traits well. And I know many might disagree with me, but JF and SBu had great chemistry together. Seeing RoHo in the role is just strange.
